Facebook Camera Released
Earlier today, Facebook launched what's being called it's "instagram clone". Facebook Camera is the latest App from Facebook on iOS, and basically what it does is allow users to upload multiple photos, as well as some simple editing functions such as Instagram-like filters and cropping.
I won't be using this, for the 2 reasons that I don't use Facebook that much, and it's currently iPhone Only. I might try out page manager though.

The HackStore is live (Cydia for Mac)
So just the other day, I wrote an article about how a new "HackStore for Mac" would be coming out in the next few weeks. Well it did, the day after I wrote the article.
It's not completely similar to Cydia, and it looks like a clone of the Mac App Store. Right now it's full of apps that were rejected from the Mac App Store, for whatever reasons. Very soon there will be cool tweaks for your Mac, among other applications.
Also, the slogan is "No piracy apps here, forever and ever".
Let me know what you think about this in the comments. What will happen to the apps that are rejected from the HackStore? Will it be as successful as Cydia?
Only time will tell.

Why Apple Is Better
Why you should buy Apple products and why you pay more.
So a lot of people know that I'm very learned and knowledgeable about Apple, and I probably know more about Apple than my religion. This knowledge leads to tons of people asking for my advice about whether or not they should get a Mac or PC, should they get an iPhone or Blackberry, what iPod should they get, and quite frankly the list goes on. And on. And on.
The thing is, I always tell them to get the Apple device over anything else. Is it because I am biased? Partly, since I have been using Apple products since forever. I remember using early versions of OS X, and always seeing the excitement on my dad's face when he got a new version of it. Also the look of distress on my mum's face when he wouldn't shut up about it.
Another few reasons why I always recommend them, is because of quality, packaging, customer care, software and certainly a few more which I shall cover.
Quality - Apple's products have almost always been made of the highest quality materials whether it be Plastic, Aluminium or even Polyurethane, they make sure it's the best.
Packaging - so on YouTube, myself and thousands of other people do tech Unboxings. Basically it's someone filming the self opening a new product out of the box on camera.
If you compare a MacBook unboxing to a Dell Inspiron unboxing, you can tell instantly that Apples packaging is better.
I am comparing a Dell Inspiron to a 2011 MacBook Pro Unboxing.
So the dell comes in a big cardboard box covered in Sellotape, and the consumer struggles to get it open.
He pulls and struggles and even needs another person to help get it open.
Whereas on the MacBook pro unboxing, there is one person only opening it.
In the dell unboxing the big box has 2 other boxes, 1 with tons of CD's and drivers in it, the other with the actual dell covered in cheap plastic wrap.
Once again, it takes 2 people JUST to unwrap the dell.
On the MBP unboxing, the first thing you see is the MBP with a foam cushion on top to protect it, and the MBP covered in easy to remove plastic wrap.
All that's underneath is the charger, and some instructions. No CD's, drivers ETC. all is preinstalled, and the unboxing is much quicker than the dell's.
The 2 laptops are at similar price range and the MBP actually looks and performs better.
So my point about packaging has been proven.
Customer care - Let me tell you a story about how Apple's Customer Care OS far superior to any other company's. This is taken from a video on YouTube called "MacBroke? Kinda. 480p FTW", you can search it and watch it to get the idea.
So a young man named Quinn Nelson of snazzylabs.com had a broken MacBook pro, there was a hard drive failure about a week after he bought it. So he took the MacBook, with no receipt, box or charger to the Apple store where he bought it, and within 5 minutes an Apple employee was with him. He told the employee what had happened, and after a bit of waiting the employee brought him a brand new version of the one he had, completely new in the box. With no questions asked.
That is an example of the great customer care that Apple provides. I also forgot to mention that he got to keep the $70 MagSafe Charger for free.
Software - Apple has 2 main softwares. Mac and iOS. Mac has been going since the first Apple Mac computer in the 80's, and iOS has sort of been going since 2007. iOS runs on iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads and the first official release of "iOS" was version 4 I believe. It was originally called "iPhone OS" even though it was running on iPod touches. iOS is the most used mobile OS worldwide, and Mac is the top computer OS worldwide. Lots of people have PC's, crazy, brainless people, but still more use Mac.
Retail - with over 300 Retail stores worldwide, Apple certainly doesn't fall behind with it's retail stores. Above the entrance on every one, is a glowing white apple logo. They are all similarly set out, and all have a sales desk, areas for Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod, accessories for all their products, a Genius Bar and also a training centre where they have their free one-to-one training sessions. There is one or more Apple stores in almost every major city in the world. I have the luxury of being able to go to the many Apple stores in London, including their largest and best store in Covent Garden, only half an hour away from me on the tube.
Accessories - along with Apple's many products there are millions and maybe edging on billions more accessories to go with. I can't begin to tell you the categories of these many many accessories. For every Apple product there is many accessories to go with. For a few select Samsung products, there's probably a couple of cheap and crappy silicone cases and maybe even some screen protectors. You get the point. If I wanted to try and find an accessory for my iPad, I could spend hours on end searching through millions of websites of iPad cases, chargers, docks, screen protectors, stands, adapters and way way more. Just goes to show that accessory making companies create their products for Apple's products, because they are the most widely used and they also have the best design and portability in mind. Apple chooses design and functionality over protection, and to be quite honest Apple's own cases aren't very good. This is another reason why case manufacturers make their products for apple's, because they know their stuff will sell.
So as I finish this post, I'd like to thank you for reading it as it took a few days to write as well as lots of research and proof reading.

WWDC 2012
Only a few days ago, WWDC 2012 was announced by Apple. For those who don't know, WWDC is the WorldWide Developer's Conference, where Apple shows off new software, products, and shows off the best apps of the past year for Mac and iOS.
I'm hoping to see a new line of iPods, either an update to the current line, especially the iPod Touch, with some more RAM and speed improvements, a 5MP camera and maybe Siri Dictation on WiFi.
If the MacBook Pro and Air lines were merged, and had ivy bridge, that would be cool. Also rumoured is the 17" MBP being cut off and a 15" MacBook air replacing it.
Intel's New chip Ivy Bridge is almost certainly going to be seen this year at WWDC. Maybe the "One More Thing" will be an updated Mac Pro? We'll see.

Jailbreaking - Good or Bad?

Definition: Source: Www.wikipedia.org iOS jailbreaking, or simply jailbreaking, is the process of removing the limitations imposed by Apple on devices running the iOS operating system through use of custom kernels. Such devices include the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and 2nd Gen Apple TV.
Jailbreaking allows users to gain root access to the operating system, allowing iOS users to download additional applications, extensions, and themes that are unavailable through the official Apple App Store. A jailbroken iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad running iOS can still use the App Store, iTunes, and other normal functions, such as making telephone calls. The term 'jailbreaking' has also been applied to other computer systems, such as the Sony Playstation 3. Jailbreaking is a form of privilege escalation. It can be done from jailbreakme.com , via your iDevice, or through other forms of resources such as Absinthe via Greenpois0n or redsn0w Jailbreaking is completely safe and will not cause any software damage to your device. Apple has declared it legal.
The main reason for jailbreaking is the high level of customisation in the OS. It is completely legal in most countries (including United States and United Kingdom) and will not void your warranty unless you download software from illegal sources. (which have been removed)
PROS / Reasons to Jailbreak
Completely safe and legal
Really easy to delete off of device
Free tweaks
Removes limitations on software downloads
Tweaks - things using iOS like adding widgets to notifications centre or changing icons or keyboard colours and sliders.
DreamBoard - DreamBoard is an application for jailbroken devices which lets you choose different home screen themes for your device such as making the home screen look like and have the same controls as other devices like Windows Phone 7 UI or Android UI or even a mock up of Mac OSX Lion.
Cydia - Cydia is the App Store for jailbroken devices allowing jailbroken users to add tweaks and other jailbreak apps to your jailbroken device.
CONS / REASONS NOT TO JAILBREAK
Downloading more than 30 tweaks could slow down your device
May void warranty if installing from illegal sources (most are being removed)
People who are not so tech savvy may not know how to remove the jailbreak
Some tweaks are just plain silly.

MicroUSB for Apple Devices
So in this video, you get to see my unboxing of Apple's MicroUSB Adapter, now on the box it says "iPhone", although this has been used and tested on the iPad 2, and iPod Touch 4th Gen
by me, and a ton of other Apple Devices by other people.
Apple is selling this because the European Union says that every new phone being sold in the EU has to be able to charge and sync via MicroUSB, because the cables are really cheap to buy, has decently fast data transfer and almost every new phone on the planet has it. This is Apple's solution.
I bought it because my iPad charger broke, and I have a few MicroUSB cables, compared to the 1 apple charger I have.
How it works: You plug the 30-Pin dock connector side into your Device, and then attach a MicroUSB cable into the other side
Hopefully this was useful, or maybe enjoyable to watch (for the odd fellows out there).
You can get one of these for as little as £8 from any Apple Store in Europe/The EU, or if you prefer to order online then you can get it here
Just a few extra notes - people have been saying that it hasn't been syncing their iPhone 4S's, so if you are going to get one I'd highly recommend having a spare (and working) 30-Pin connector Cable (the default) as a spare, just in case this stops working/breaks/gets lost ETC.
If you can't access or buy this from America, or other parts of the world, then have a look on eBay, or ask someone you know from Europe to get one for you.
