Logitech announces new UE lineup

Hi again fellow Geeklings,

Today is a big day for Logitech's Ultimate Ears line of products because just a few hours ago the lineup was updated with new headphones and speakers.

Within the new lineup are 3 new pairs of headphones, 2 wired and 1 wireless, 2 new wireless speakers as well as a "smart radio".

The new products are inspired by touring musicians and previous UE products from the past 15 years and have been tested by musicians in harsh environments.

These products are more aimed towards those with a love of audio, who "live for music", so not your typical Beats fans.

All the products are designed to work well with the latest in technology like smartphones and tablets, so all the headphones have volume up/down buttons and a play/pause button along with a microphone. They are all built with really good materials and feel good in your hand/on your ears.

The products are divided into 2 categories: Wearables, which go on/in your ears, and Shareables, which share music out loud.

There are 2 new Bluetooth speakers:
First of all, The Mini Boombox, a small speaker which has a 10 hour battery life, control buttons on top, as well as an on/off switch, a MicroUSB input for charging and an AUX in port as well.
This one is designed for on the go usage.

Second product, the Logitech UE Boombox, a rather large bar-style speaker with a handle on top, mainly designed for use at home or in the office.
This one features a Bluetooth button, on/off switch, AUX in and what looks like a power input.

Also in the "Shareable" Category is the Logitech UE Smart Radio. It's a smart radio which connects to wifi, runs on battery, can connect to any internet radio station in the world and connects to your own music content aswell as having its own app to go with it.

Now for the "Wearable" category of headphones.

There are 3 over ear pairs and an in-ear pair of headphones. 2 Of the over ear pairs are wired and 1 is wireless.

They are all designed to be very comfortable and are designed to be "whether you're listening to music for 30 minutes or 30 hours". Sounds pretty cool to me.

They are also very robust and the headband takes a lot of stress before it could snap. They are also foldable but maintain their strength at the same time.

The cable on the wired pairs are detachable ones and have the control buttons and microphones as mentioned earlier.

Logitech knows that the battery will eventually run out on the wireless pair so they've made the wireless ones to have a detachable cable to go with, for when that fatal moment when the battery dies strikes. They are chargeable via MicroUSB.
The over-ear wireless pair have the model name of "UE-9000".

Last of all is the in-ear pair of headphones, the "UE-900", they are "truly coming from the heritage of Ultimate Ears" and are the nearest standard product to true In-Ear monitors that you can get.

There are 4 speakers in each earbud too.

So there you go, the new Logitech UE line of products. They go on sale in September

I'm going to try my best to get one of these products to review, not just because of how much I love music and HQ audio but because I think that more people need to see that there are some really great audio products out there and if I can help to do that I will.
