Galaxy Note 2? August 15th release could be imminent.

The current Samsung rumours are of an updated Galaxy Note, the Note 2/II. A lot of people including myself weren't too sure about the original Note, mainly because the size of it looked completely unpractical and stupid in comparison to smaller smartphones and larger tablets. We just didn't think it could fit that gap, but it did, and it sold like hot cakes, well, maybe warm cakes.

The rumours of the Note 2 are pretty interesting, there's not so much hype for it when compared to the Galaxy S3 or New iPad, but it's rumoured that it'll be released on August the 15th, it will have a 5.5" Screen size, which would be longer yet thinner than the current one, a 12 (yes, 12) megapixel camera along with a QUAD CORE processor built in, and most likely Android 4.1.1 Jellybean with Samsung's TouchWiz skin on top.

These rumours have built up over the last month or two since sources have apparently told BGR that Samsung will be announcing the Galaxy Note II at a press conference on August 15.

These rumours are all very exciting so be sure to stay tuned (or RSS and email subscribed) to GeekSlam for the event. If there is a Galaxy Note 2, I'll do what I can to get a hands-on video up.

Thanks all for being loyal readers, hopefully you weren't all too bored during my 2 week absence.
